he does fight WW's....he beat the last 2 WW champs........so who got owned...i explained why pbf is the best at 147...but you have failed to explain why pw and mosley are ahead of pbf......the only thing you said was because they face WW they are ahead....you dont rank like that because if that the case every WW is ahead of PBF because everyone has faced more WW than PBF

Actually, if you notice, Floyd isn't on the list because the OP says its generally recognized that Floyd is number 1 and also thats why Cotto isn't on the list cause he's recognized as being the number 2.

Hows that for owned? Dumbass :patsch

Well you judge by who fights welterweights and not the quality of the opponent.

Margo Clottey and Cintron should ALLL be ranked way higher then Cotto or Floyd because they fought way more Welterweights.

Paul Williams should be number two for his victory over long reigning WBO champ Antonio MArgarito. Cotto was going to fight Margarito but Williams derailed that match up. Williams deserves recognition for his victory - placing him ahead of Cotto in the rankings. I would love to see them match up - but it is probably not going to happen any time soon. Williams is the MAN TO AVOID at welterweight right now.

I'd voted for Margarito, Mosley, Cintron and Collazo.

Mosley, even at his age, is still the best in that list.

I actually thought Mosley beat Cotto by a round.

I think we have a triangle with the welterweights.

Cotto gives Mosley trouble, yet I feel Mosley would trouble Mayweather, yet Mayweather would trouble Cotto.

As the result was given to Cotto I have it

    1.Mayweather
    2.Cotto
    3.Mosley

Had Mosley been given the decision against Cotto like I feel he deserved (not dissing Cotto) I'd have it as

    1.Mosley
    2.Mayweather
    3.Cotto

He's beaten Matthysse, Mitchell, and Margarito. Not as impressive as Quintana, Urkal, Judah, and Mosley.

According to delwin, he ranks Mayweather, Cotto on who fought WWs.

    Well..

Well Cotto has fought 0 true welterweights. The 4 opponents he fought were all former JR WWs, Shane, Urkal, Quitana, Judah, all former JR WW or lower.

Hatton, Judah, Mitchell were all former Jr WWS BUT Only Baldomir has been at 147 his WHOLE career.

So TRULY Cotto has never fought a LEGIT 147lber. Only Mayweather has.
