Chronologically. Took the best fight of every year with the exception where the best fight was just not good enough for me.

    1. Shane Mosley SD15 Oscar de la Hoya 2000.
    2. James Douglas KO10 Mike Tyson 1990.
    3. George Foreman KO10 Michael Moorer 1994.
    4. Roy Jones UD12 James Toney 1994.
    5. Manny Pacquiao TKO11 Marco Antonio Barrera 2003.
    6. Erik Morales UD12 Manny Pacquiao 2005.
    7. Vernon Forrest UD12 Shane Mosley 2002.
    8. Roy Jones UD12 Bernard Hopkins 1993.
    9. Manny Pacquiao TKO12 Miguel Cotto 2009.
    10. Bernard Hopkins KO12 Felix Trinidad 2001.

Not quite sure about some of the omissions I made and the placing of some of those fights but I'm happy enough with it. There are one or two fights I know you didn't include on your lists that would potentially qualify for a place in my top 10 here but each to his own of course, and a brilliant set of lists none the less.

Why do you prefer Mosley-Oscar 1 to Douglas-Tyson?

(also, I think you are yearning for a better time in boxing, thinking that Shane-Oscar was a 15-rounder! If only...)

 I've actually just been watching the greatest victory of all time so I've subconsciously come to the conclusion for a fight to be great it has to go 15 round I think :huh

Anyway I have no real issue with Douglas-Tyson 1 being rated above de la Hoya-Mosley 1 but it came down to the fact that I believed the weight jumping issue (Mosley had fought Willy Wise and Rivero at 147 but they aren't a patch or decent warm up for a fighter of de la Hoya's calibre.) Oscar was also competitive in the fight, whereas Tyson on the whole wasn't as competitive for a long period. I think both men came in under prepared, de la Hoya had a..."bad" gameplan (the "I was recording a multi-Latin Grammy award winning album" isn't a decent excuse in my book) however Tyson really ****ed up his preparation for Douglas. It defies belief a boxer would be so uncaring going into a fight.

I'll state for the record that I do think "Tokyo Douglas" would always give Tyson hell. I just see the Shane win over Oscar as a win over a much more prepared fighter, and I would say...perhaps the best win since Leonard-Hearns 1 (I actually can't think of a better win since :huh must be having some sort of mental block.)

Oh and I had de la Hoya going into that fight undefeated too having fought better comp than Mike.

For me, Douglas-Tyson is well clear of Shane-Oscar, but I respect your reasons.

You think Shane-Oscar was a better win than Leonard-Hagler then?

First off, great effort. I can't even put together a list even if i tried but how on Earth can you put Tarver's KO win over Jones at 31? That's gotta be at least a top 10 win.

:patsch How on earth did I forgot Leonard-Hagler, better win than Mosley-de la Hoya, or Honeyghan-Curry...ok Honeyghan-Curry wasn't as good but it would probably top greatest British boxing moment.
