    You can choose any two heavyweights from history, and put them in the modern heavyweight division. You can do this to learn about your theories, see some entertaining matchups, or a slew of other reasons.

    You want to see Louis tested against non stop stream of SHWs?
    Want to see Tyson bobbing, weaving, ripping through AJ just like you imagined?
    Want to see if John L could win a few early fights, and impress us all with a run to the top?

    Who do you choose, and why??

    Honestly it's a really tough call narrowing it down to two, because honestly with that few I think the results would be almost inevitably misleading and if it could actually be done, whatever happened, good or ill, a lot of people here would ever-interpret the results and gloat that certain questions had been conclusively settled when they really hadn't.
    Here are my picks, agonized over and chosen solely on the criterion of which I might learn most from observing:

    Jess Willard
    Jersey Joe Walcott


    This might leave you scratching your head, and if this could actually be done it would be extremely frustrating -or bittersweet- that I could only pick two.

    Predictions: Willard has about as much success as Gerry Cooney, Walcott does slightly better than Chris Byrd

    Edit: Gotta get some sleep, will explain choices tomorrow

    It would have to be Louis, to answer the question of if he could compete with the SHW greats of modern times. I think we would be disappointed in the outcome.
