What 1940s fighter do you think is most likely to beat Usyk whether by split decision or knockout. Choose your fighter!

Louis is all I need, he’s also pretty much the only guy who can get the job done from that period anyway.

at this point, I'd say ALL of the Longstanding TOP Men of the Era,

simply because he is a Good Fighter in a poor, poor HW Era showing no reason, thus far, to express anything exceptional about him !

Galento cagily outboxes him over 15 using his shrewd skills and physical advantages. They then have a further two bouts to complete the series, resulting in two draws.

    1-0-2 Galento.

Ezzard Charles, Jersey Joe Walcott and Joe Louis can complete the job.

I did a thread about the top 80 something 40s HWs. Give me a random 20 pack from that thread. And half of those guys should get the job done.

Er, Joe Louis or Ezzard Charles would probably be the only ones that would have a chance.

Braddock, Farr and John Henry Lewis have a healthy chance of winning shutout against Usyk.

Could Usyk even beat Gastanaga? Gastanagas got chin made of paper but so does AJ and Usyk couldn't crack it.

    Louis, of course.

And Joe can drain/gain to 207 lbs if that’s the best weight for him to fight at. Otherwise, Usyk himself has to weigh no more than 200 lbs on the day of the fight.

When do I find out if I’m dead or alive?

Picking Louis but I think Charles has a good chance too. He’s so much better at HW than given credit for.
