Chop Chop Corley... What Held Him Back As a Fighter?

I know Chop Chop from JHS and SHS. The problem is to many distractions here in D.C. To much partying in clubs, that's really the same story with all D.C boxers. Keith Holmes and Joppy too :-(

 

Chop was always sharp, just never had knockout type power. If anything, his accuracy was his strength in my opinion. This dude use to kick dudes ass back in JHS. People use to try him because it was rumored that he was bisexual. So he had to prove his toughness. Back then, he stayed in the gym. After making some money, that changed. Staying in the streets and clubing all the time.

True story....best fighter I have ever seen in person (not professional, I just mean on the streets) was this kid who was gay and grew up in a rough neighborhood on the Eastside of Jacksonville called Sherwood. People used to **** with him all the time, and he would shake it off. But the few times someone got in his face, he beat them down and not just a little. It took 5 guys to yank him off this big hispanic dude....he was one rough little *******. Wiry as hell....don't think he trained, but he threw hands like a boxer.

 

Sounds like Chop Chop, cool dude. During that time in D.C in the area we grew up in, you had to prove yourself a lot, and boy did he prove himself :yep

 

No It's my best friend girlfriend best friend. I just happen to have a camera when I frist saw her. She caught me looking at her butt and said, take a picture, it will last longer. So I did :yep I want to try my hand, but she is engaged :fire and she's a flirt.

I don't think he was really "held back" He is a world champion and a good fighter, who just got beaten by better fighters IMO. Guys like Judah and Mayweather were just that bit faster, better technically and better defensively. He was still a good fighter regardless.
