After the fight Walcott put out challenges to all the other top heavyweights and offered Choynski a rematch with a $5000 forefit if he lost. I've got that bit of footage - it used to be on youtube aswell - think that guy called 'rare boxing' put it up at one point (just called it "Joe Walcott Speaks", he also put up similar filmed interviews with Jim Jeffries, Tommy Burns and Tommy Ryan aswell) it's pretty awesome really and quite poignant at the same time coz at the time he looks like he's taking a break from his janitor duites at madison square garden and is sitting on his bucket jabbering about all the great fighters from the period - how a fighter that legendary ended up making ends meet like that is just really...well, it just isn't what I would've wanted for the guy - no doubt he never felt sorry for himself at all - champ that he was
He was lucky to get that to be fair. He was in a desperate state and the mayor arranged for him to get this job to help him out. I am not called the janitor for nothing!
PS Minotauro I wonder whether that avatar pic of your's was possibly taken during the shooting of the said bit of footage aswell?? - Love the pic and the bit of film too
