Hipp was talking about coming out of retirement for a few more fights last year. As a fellow Washington State native (not Native American though, like Hipp), I have always been a huge fan. He was one tough SOB (look at the Morrison fight-brutal war).
Hipp was limited but no one questioned his heart and toughness. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iVdC1LXnRgA
Thats a name I havn't thought of in a while and I live right by his hometown. Where you from Charles?
Born in Issaquah, then moved to Renton for a couple of years. For the past 5 years I have been up in Rockport, WA but am now located in Mount Vernon, WA cuz school is there. You?
Whats up washingtonian! As a kid i lived in bellingham right next to you. Although i havent been back since"83" Ive been in Los Angeles area since
What's happening my man? Good to see more Washingtonians on ESB!! There are a couple, but they usually hang out in the training forums it seems. Bellingham!! I love Bellingham. Great place. You ever been up my way (Concrete, Rockport, etc)?
I posted the Arreola RUiz thread, but this is a way more exciting fight. They have a similar built but hipp was smaller at 6"1 225(at his best) altough he fought as high as 270. Hipp was a decent puncher but not close toArreola. Hipps defense wasnt that great but when he wanted to he showed some decent boxing skills maybe slightly better than arreola. Hipp had a tuff chin but not like arreola, i cant picture hipp going 10 with Vitali. So im going with Arreola by 6 or 7 round knockout. They are similar in skills and style but arreola Hits harder, bigger, and the edge in the chin department. No way arreola gets stopped by seldon or Morrison in fact hed beat those guys.
I grew up in Kirkland, my Dad lived in Issaquah most the time, then I moved to Yakima with him back in 93, damn i'm getting old! My Mom still lives in Kirkland though, and my sis in Redmond.
