Chris Algieri is a slick A+ fighter...

    When you watch video clips of him training, The kind of guy who looks awesome in the gym but doesn't transfer much of it to the fight.

    In a fight he doesn't use the jab to control range he only uses to start his attack. When he's out of position, instead of rolling out or stepping outside the action, he opts to put on the earmuffs and bend his torso in defense

    Instead of establishing a range that fits his height and reach advantages he rather duck and roll under punches from smaller guys.

    Not to mention the lateral movement people swear he has is just him bending his torso side to side. His footwork is average at best.

    HE'S NOT A SLICK FIGHTER



    Algieri doesn't make it out the 3rd round, but will make a great Boxing actor or conditioning coach in the future.

    Every gym has an Algieri, the guy who looks like a god when he's training, and you wonder why isn't he on tv, but then when you go to his fight you so oooooooooo he's a gym fighter.

    chris last 2 fights says it all he is elite ............he has solid chin great heart and is a master boxer ruslan who is extremely heavy handed could not knock him out that in itself say a lot..........

    So Herrera is elite too, right? Danny didn't cherry pick. I guess Broner is damn near elite because he beat Taylor too. Beating Taylor and Provo make you elite...

    Here's to hoping Algieri does something noteworthy in the near future.

    no way in hell that happens. if anything Algieri is smart enough to stay and use his jab the right way against the little guy....manny looks like a midget in this fight. unless chris just stands there with his hands down, he aint going anywhere...pac has no power since he jumped past 135.... 1 knock out in 10 fights.... aint gonna happen

    Slick? not slick, he boxes but he is not slick. He is way to green for this fight, its like putting in a cheetah vs a tiger in a small cage.

    Pac's footwork when Algieri is holding up the earmuffs will get him killed. Pac will just keep turning him and smacking him with rapid punches

    Algieri's a good boxer, he's not a terrible matchup for Pac. Algieri is no bum, but he's not worthy of a Pac fight IMO. He beat Provo, Provo is a monster but he's beatable and tailor made for Algieri.
