I give Pac all the credit in the world if he takes that fight, but he’s nuts to chase this one. Go after Floyd for that last mega-payday.

He probably does have more shocking power, he's faster and will more likely catch you with an unexpected shot you can't brace for. But as Algieri said Pac now is 40 and should stay away from Spence. Spence is too young and hungry, I'm sure Pac would be competitive but youth would prevail and he'd get ground down.

 

Different forms of power. I agree with Brighton bomber, he has more shocking power. The type of power that Manny and Tyson possess is the best form of power in boxing IMO. Vitali or Foreman may hit "harder" than Tyson, but its the combination of speed and power that has a different type of impact when landing on the opponent. I believe Spence could actually hit harder in 1 fully loaded punch than Manny, but Manny's power is more intimidating if that makes sense

Yes. Plus Manny's angles and timing is what creates more damage. Algerie experienced it 6 times.

Broner ran for survival against Pac, but fought toe-to-toe and came forward against Mikey, Maidana, and Porter.

Mosley ran for survival against Pac, but fought toe-to-toe against Canelo.

Algieri was in survival mode against Pac, but fought toe-to-toe w/ Khan and then Spence.

Rios, Vargas, and Matthysse always went to war, but boxed carefully and were in survival mode against Pac.

I fully expect Keith Thurman to go into survival mode after the first left hand... Not sure about Spence or Crawford, but I could see them going into survival mode. Hell, Porter might even.

 

I don't necessarily disagree with what Algieri said, Manny's power does comes from speed and angles. And the worst shots are the ones that you can't see or anticipate. David Diaz said that about Manny, "it wasn't the power, I just couldn't see anything". Errol is a heavy handed thudding puncher but you know the shots are coming. Roy, Keith, Manny etc.....these are the guys that hit you with **** you don't see and they get you outta there.
