Chris Algieri "Provodnikov hits harder then PAC and Spence"

Hey CST, do you use EyeOnTheRing at all, I love that site too.

 

I've never been punched by any of them. Most or all of us haven't. But all signs point to his trying to self-boast, too, as one of the above posts says. Hard to watch all three fights and think that Provodnikov "hits hard(est)." In some capacity heavier feeling because he's swinging wide like a wild caveman ala George Foreman on a punching bag? Sure. But he took Ruslan's better than the others. Also have to factor in power carrying beyond the first few rounds, of which Provodnikov, on that night, surely did not.

 

Oh if I'm on the internet and I'm not here then I'm watching old fights on youtube and scoring them on that site. It's awesome, they have scorecard options for new fights too, Jack/Degale, Pedraza/Davis, Lara/Foreman & even Krytrov/Aleem were scoring options for this past weekend. There isn't as much interaction with other judges, but it's a fun ass site and sure as hell saves money and room on buying paper, and storing cards after you score them. Saves them all right too your profile, what can I say I'm a old guy and easily amused

 

I wouldn't be surprised. Every single punch Ruslan throws is punch with the intention of knocking guys out. Has he ever even thrown a jab?

Hardly news this, Provo is a big puncher. He just can't box for ****. Power becomes meaningless if you can't land

 

One guy knocked him down a thousand time and the other guy essentially retired him but apparently the guy he beat hits harder. Unless he's saying Russian softened him up for them but that don't make sense coz he was in inspired form vs Khan.

 

It was a close fight though so its obvious Ruslan did land his big shots, he even dropped Algeri twice but he didn't get him out of there. Ruslan has landed bombs in all of his biggest wars including Herrera, Bradley, Matthyse and Algeri. I know the point your tryna make, but i think Ruslan has clubbing power but he doesn't have knockout power at the top level.

 

Well all the talk is what if Prov was faster & better at cutting off the ring? There are two similar prospects who are essentially a faster & probably better skilled Provodnikov! Sergey Lipinets & Egidijus Kavaliauskas. Awesome prospects..
