Anybody else interested in seeing if this kid can make some noise at 140lbs?

Fast hands, fluid, good boxing ability with modest power.

    IB, where you at?

I'll be honest, even though he looked impressively slick at regional level I sold him short and presumed he would be exposed in his step-up and national TV debut against Emanuel Taylor.

    He proved me very wrong.

Not sure how far he can go without power, although his speed and slickness do seem legit and not just parlor-tricks of a club-fighter.

Can fight a couple of different ways.

Algieri can rely on speed and slickness to outbox fighters (Taylor)- or can meet them head on and swamp them with volume (Alejo, who did a good job of getting inside, yet still got out-worked).

Worth checking out, at any rate.

Worth keeping an eye on. Seems very dedicated and hasn't shown signs of peaking yet.

He's surpassed what I thought he was capable of, so I don't know where I'd peg his ceiling now. Looks like he won't just be a FNF fighter at this rate for too much longer.
