List the 5 best victories in the career of Chris Algieri (20-0, 8 KO's). I'll start:

    2014- SD12 Ruslan Provodnikov, 23-2, WBO 140 title
    2014- UD10 Emmanuel Taylor, 17-1
    2011- UD10 Bayan Jargal, 15-2-3
    2013- UD10 Mike Arnaoutis, 24-8-2
    ?

I only have seen and/or recognize these four names...

So, what do we think of his resume?

Decent fighter, resume average, but he's in way over his head tonight.

The guy was a regional fighter before he got the call from Provodnikov. Hos resume is paper thin at this point. To me it's rather unusual for a guy with a resume like that to get a fight with a guy like Pacquiao. However, I think he could stick around for awhile.

He shouldn't have got that fight, but Roach is still mad Algieri beat his fighter Provo, and they want revenge. There were better fights at 140 for Pac but I guess this is tune up for a big fight at 135.:patsch

Morales and Khan aren't Pacquiao. That is more of a steady progression of sorts.

That bring said, Algieri does have a belt, so there is that.

And a lot of those guys only ever end up being sh!t. So why fight a guy who is largely unproven?

This is Pacquiao on a PPV, not Morales and then Khan. As the other poster said that is a steady progression.

And obviously you didn't watch Garcia/Holt if you think Garcia "barely" won. I picked Holt to win that fight and was rooting for him and I ended up with 116-112 IIRC.

Provodnikov was more of a threat than Morales or Khan especially as far as power goes, so Algieri jumped from fighting nobodies to Danny vs. Lucas without the bum shot old guy warm ups, as his first big match. Algieri has a lot of talent and you guys really are underrating him.

Its been awhile since I've seen it, I think I had around the same score but it wasn't a shutout, Algieri seems to deal with the pressure quite well, he's very confident bordering on smug I don't think it'll effect him that much. Manny is way better than Ruslan, doesn't hit as hard or bring the pressure, Algieri will do better than most think.

^^On this big of a stage, sure, but most guys don't multiple bites of the apple. That being said, I could easily envision him contending for the odd title here and there for a few years, bag a few good wins.

He had absolutely no business sharing the ring with a top 3 P4P fighter.

No fighter with only 20 bouts under their resume should have a chance against one of the very best boxers in the world. I never thought the kid had a chance beforehand.

His win over Provodnikov is better than anything on Maidana's resume.

    Algieri > Maidana
