So if he increased his BMI and went up to 154 or 160 he'd even harder p4p? I doubt it. Tall skinny guys are usually the power punchers. Hearns, Leonard, Jackson, McClellan, Arguello, Foster, Monzon, Robinson, etc. The prototype for power in the non heavyweight divisions is those tall stringbeans because of the leverage.
It's painfully obvious why he punches so softly. Looks at the way he delivers a punch compared to Spence. No hip Rotation, no locking of joints on impact etc. Power punching is not some big secret. Some people are built and better coordinated naturally to deliver a powerful blow Sent from my D5803 using Tapatalk
And yet, Khan had all sorts of problems with him -- Amir was seriously discomfited by Chris at times. This surely doesn't augur well for Khan in his upcoming clash with Canelo, or against a 147-pounder with a hefty dig for that matter.
Beat me too it. For all of Khans talk about his own explosive hard shots he was rocked, hurt and out punched by Algeri. Algeri was the bigger puncher than Khan.
last night night he was throwing arm punches without using his legs at all. terrible technique, no power and i'm surprised it took this long for him to get exposed. just attack him with impunity. he won't return firepower
True enough. Khan hasn't stopped anyone since Carlos Molina, and up until now, has only faced featherfisted opposition since being wrecked by Danny Garcia.
Based on? The only true KO stoppage I can think of coming from Khan was against Graham Earl. I cannot think of the last time he truly hurt an opponent. And again Khan was bullied by the stronger fighter in Algeri when they fought and Algeri hurt Khan more than the other way around.
I thought that at first but weve seen guys like Algieri before looking good being a decent competitive loser then fading away. Don't care what anyone says that was not the same Algieri that fought pac and khan he looked weak in there with no energy. It's either he was drained or peaked or spence just has great power, I happen to think it's combination of all these things. It was too easy which leads me to think Algieri under performed.
Must of been watching a differe fight. From what I can recall Khan's so called power never once troubled Algeri, the same Algeri who was dropped by a Pacquaio who never got out of first gear and just got demolished off Spence. Khan has no power. He is as featherfisted as Algeri.
