-- After Brewster was dominated, he was taken out of the Top10. Now they have Arreola in the Top10. Arreola is a great prospect (20-0, 18kos) with a lot of power, but Top10 right now? I would have put this fighters above Arreola: -Ruiz -Rahman -Holyfield -Povetkin -Thompson Source: The Ring Online 1. Wladimir Klitschko 2. Samuel Peter 3. Oleg Maskaev 4. Ruslan Chagaev 5. Nikolay Valuev 6. Sultan Ibragimov 7. Sergei Liakhovich 8. Chris Byrd 9. Vladimir Virchis 10. Chris Arreola http://www.thering-online.com/ringpages/ratings2.html
Solis has beat better fighters after 3 fights. HTF did he make the top 10 , Chris hasnt even fought anyone. I seen he beat the HW managed by Denzel Washington but he was **** , although undefeated.
Hell yeah!!!! Cant wait to see him really step up for a career defining fight!!! FIRST HEAVY CHAMP FROM MEXICO!!!!
There goes a large amount of their credibility out the window . They are obviously looking for a young American who is starting to do stuff to put in their top 10 . Don't get me wrong Arreola could turn out to be a very good heavyweight who could do more than deserve a top 10 ranking in the future.........but not now . Forget your great White/Black hope , they are looking for a great American hope and in this case I feel they are trying to make/create one rather than they have found one . Previously I played down The Ring's American Bias and that it was only minimal , but now my opinion has been slightly altered .
Go Cristobal!! Undefeated heavyweight Cris Arreola fights on the Margarito vs Williams undercard July 14th on HBO. Malcom Tann and Damian Norris (World Junior Champion in the amateurs for Cuba, since the fight with Arreola, he went downhill) were also good tests.
I think there is a little favoritism there. He is fighting a 12-8 fighter in his next fight, why?? Tann and Wills are two no hopers, with good records. Dimitrenko is going to easily dominate Tann this weekend. Tann is slow and easy to hit, the same could be said of Wills and even Chris himself who is very slow .
Because his fight will not be televised, his last fights were televised, this one not. Why will their team pay for a decent opponent if the fight will not be show. Maybe their hoping HBO will show highlites of a KO in 1 round.
Asterion, bro, Ruiz has not officially won a fight in three yeas, and has cleanly one only one (Rahmen) big time fight in his carrer. The Holyfield fights, the Johnson debaucle, Toney, Golota , Oquendo- contorversies one and all. In my humble, its time for Ruiz to go away. Rahmen, I think, is something simliar. yeah, I know he was supposedly recently a champion. But winning an overglorified sparrig session to get the belt and drawing against Toney are nothing to write home about in my book. Again, you would have to go back to the first Lennox Lewis fight to see an example of a real victory over someone important.
He hasnt even fought since. You want to see how bad Tann is , watch what Dimitrenko does to him. Wills is about the same level as Tann.
