He has the boxing skill to outclass Arreola and enough power to at least get his respect (enough power to KO him too IMO). He doesn't need great workrate to dominate a very mediocre prospect in Arreola. Seriously, there's no point of talking about Arreola so much on boxing forums.. he's a C level fighter who shows no signs of improving and has no noteworthy skill or ability to even get excited about. Put him in with anybody decent and he'll be outclassed.

You can't be serious. Arreola critics are just being realistic about him. It has nothing to do with the way he looks. Maybe it does to you, because he's Mexican-American and you want to root for him. Pretty damn ironic..

And it's insulting to Juan Diaz to be compared to someone like Arreola, who doesn't just look out of shape when he comes in around 240, but actually is out of shape. Someone who also clearly doesn't have the natural ability or skills of Diaz. Arreola has about the same chance as Audley to become a world champion.

have you seen a lot of arreola to say he gasses

that's just proof that you havn't....how he looks is how he looks, if you want him to look good, then you got problems....as long as a fighter comes to fight, then it's all good with me....

in your eyes, chris was supposed to lose 3 fight ago :deal

His conditioning wasn't impressive in the fights where he went 6+ rounds and he's not a relentless type of fighter that walks through everything the way some people make him out to be.

That makes zero sense. I picked him to blow out Witherspoon and those other fighters he faced were horrible. He still hasn't stepped up to a C+ fighter, arguably hasn't even stepped up to a solid C.

Which one? He didn't slow down at all in the Tann or Wills fights. I do think conditioning is a potential concern (i.e., he's never proven he can go for more than 8, and he doesn't look like he's in great condition), but in his past fights, he's tended to get stronger, not weaker, around rounds 6 - 8.

Shows how desperate the american public are for a heavyweight champ when Arreola is being meted as a potential undisputed champ. He might be able to pick up a belt at some stage in the future but in my opinion he wouldnt beat any of the current beltholders. In fairness he always comes to fight and i respect him for that but he doesnt have the skills to win a world title.

I dunno who claimed that but whoever it was they're either Dunne or a ******.
Dunne's career hasn't turned out as well as some expected due to his poor chin and lack of power. He is what he is and I'm happy to support him.

However he has nothing to do with this thread, neither does Juan Diaz(who I've always held the highest regard for).

Don't bring fighters other people are fans of into it just because Chris Arreola is too limited to win a World title.

You know, it will all come down how he can take a Wlad punch, (his chin still hasn't been tested by someone who can punch like Wlad) and how he can reach Wlad when they fight. Arreola so far has made it very tough for fighters to tie him up, so he has a chance.

Wlad is very underrated surprisingly on this forum. His losses were really when he was just a kid. Wlad has grown up and looks unbeatable to me. He uses the jab so well, sets everything up with it, great foot movement for his size, making it tough to touch him. It will be tough for even Arreola to beat him in my opinion. But, Arreola may be just a kid now, and will grow up also. We'll see.
