He is now Number 2 in the IBF and he owns both the NABF and the WBC Continental Americas Title belts, which means he is probably top ten in the WBC as well. He was showcased on BAD and did very well. HBO knows that action first fighters translates to big time ratings. I was very excited watching this barroom brawl. But as hardcore as I am, the Paul Williams beating of Phillips paled in comparison. I'd like to see Paul Williams fight Kelly Pavlik, at Middles, however!!!

But Cristobal, as exciting as he is needs some work. His defense was a big FAIL. He needs a defensive whiz training him. Maybe a Roger Mayweather??? Hmmm.

And where is Mackie Shilstone when you need him. This kid has a lot of heart, a damned good punch and plenty of raw power. But he was out of shape. It's time to lay off the Tecate and the enchiladas, and live on small portions of skinless chicken, and veggies and water. Can you imagine a Chris Arreola at about 225?

He needs to get back to training camp, and have perhaps one more fight, against a taller contender (A Tony Thompson type) and weigh in at under 230. He needs to learn, like Julio Jr. how to block, evade, dodge, parry, and bob and weave. With a real trainer, and a personal trainer, this man has a shot at scoring "Thunder in Africa"

Not really. He can have all the trainers in the world, he's just not that talented, and even more worrying not motivated to come in at a reasonable weight.

He would look at bit sharper at 225 for sure, but he will never have the required technical skills to compete with any number of fighters, nevermind the Klitschko's.

His defence did not look good to me at all, he was wide open. His right hand looked slow, and this was early in the fight. That left hook came pretty quick though, especially the last one that finished Walker. One of those hooks you don't see coming.

If he as much wants to compete with Klitschko, he needs to be at most 240lbs. And even at that, i expect a Brock-kind of fight.

Roger Mayweather is such a good trainer, he could teach a ****** like you to pee inside the bowl. Mayweather could teach a chimp how to box. A Roger Mayweather teaching Arreola about defense is a dangerous thing.

"Just not that Talented".....you dont win NABF and WBC Continental America's Titles on looks, you moron. Arreola is a raw piece of clay. He can compete at the highest levels, he just needs some molding.

Yeah, he's an ugly ass mangled piece of pottery that is going to crash to the floor and land in a million pieces when he faces a top 10 fighter. He'll probably come out looking better.

Speaking of broken Pottery, when Kessler faces his father Jermain Taylor, we are going to see some broken Kessler ass all over the ring.

    We shall see.

Why GBP has not signed him yet is beyond me. Oscar seems to cream over Mexican American fighters, and his last venture in the HW division was a bust (Sultan) Arreola seems such a natural fit, and perhaps they could get his ass in shape and a defensive trainer to boot.

Arreola looked horrible last night- he is fat, slow and devoid of any athletic talent. He has some decent power but he gets starched by any of the top heavyweights.Forget about the klits, Povetkin would KO Aerrola inside 3 rounds

Man what the hell are you talking about. Povetkin is a human punching bag. Arreola would cut povetkins face up. Arreola would also beat haye. Arreola has a chin unlike haye or wlad klitschko. I don't know if he cam beat Vitali yet but I know he can ko Wlad.
