Yeah, right... with his defence, he will get ko'ed or defeated by every top ten heavyweight. I would like to see how tough he will be when he'll have to face Peter, Virchis or other puncher.

Arreola will do just fine, but that's not because he's particularly good, although he is very tough and has a great deal of heart.

Fact is though that he doesn't move his head, but neither do Povetkin, Peter, or any of the other heavyweights.

With his body type, he should tailor his style more towards Mike Tyson, but that would require that he lose a lot weight, and move his head during training.

Fortunately for him though, Klitschko fights scared, Haye is unproven and prone to brawling with a questionable chin, and there are no Tuckers, Holmes or Ruddocks and so forth that could put this guy in his place.

Arreola would be destroyed by either Klitschko at this point (and I'm not sure that equation will change much by next year, unless Vitali breaks down/'gets old' during that time). He is fun to watch, though, and he does have some good natural ability (size, chin, power) as well as some offensive skill. That said, he's very easy to hit, pretty slow and fat as hell.

I don't understand how all these HW prospects, particularly Americans (but Nigerians and others as well), can come into the ring so comically overweight. Being in great shape certainly doesn't guarantee a win (ask Travis Walker), but it makes your chances a lot greater. If you have as much opportunity as someone like Arreola does at this point, you should give yourself the best possibility to succeed.

I do think a Klitschko/Arreola fight might be able to be sold if Arreola continues to win, however. You don't have to have a realistic chance to win a bout in order for people to tune in if you are marketed/matched properly.

Give Roger Mayweather 6 months with this guy, training at High Altitudes, and with a dietician, a Pro chef, and a Personal Trainer getting him to a solid 225, safely. Give him 2 tune up fights, against say, Michael Grant/Jameel McCline, before we sic his ass on the Klits.

Arreola needs to hire you to be his manager, Jack. :good

If he could get down to 225, that would certainly make things more interesting. I like the guy: he's funny, doesn't seem to take himself too seriously and has exciting fights. I hope he continues to improve his conditioning and skills. I don't know what his ceiling is, but at least he's someone you know will give you your money's worth in the ring (if not during his training).

Great to see another exciting H.W. emerging from the pack.

But, getting cracked by those right hands from Walker dosn't bode too well for him heading into a fight with Wlad.

Jack is right, he could probably use a new trainer... but I guess it's pretty hard for a guy to start making changes when he's still undefeated.

Good point. Probably the same reason Chris hasn't felt the need to get himself into better shape yet, sadly.

He is no technician that is for sure. He does however carry dynamite in both hands.

Arreola will never stay on his feet more than seven rounds with either Klitschko. Not this year, not next, not in 2020.
