Chris Arreola will return to the ring after his brutal war with Curtis Harper earlier this year. His elbow injury has healed and he seems to be in better shape than his fight vs Harper.

His opponent will be Fred Kassi (18-3), who was brutally KO'd by Amir Mansour last year. I think this will be a good fight. I wonder how Kassi has recovered from that brutal KO last year.

Rumours are that if Arreola beats Kassi, he will fight Deontay Wilder for the WBC crown in September.

Arreola is in very solid shape, weighed in at 246 pounds. Kassi weighed in at 225 pounds.

Arreola is past prime and looked shot in his last fight. Still think he will win this and a fight with Wilder would be 50/50

Hm... that's a pretty quick turn-around if he goes on to fight Wilder in September.

Arreola has no training camp, he just needs to set his alarm clock and not miss the fight with Wilder :patsch:-(

Yeah... His only shot will be the puncher's chance anyway.

Kassi did pretty well against Mansour until KTFO.
Stiverne took Arreolla's spirit. He doesn't deserve a shot at Wilder anyway.
But I still think Arreolla will win on points.

Arreola's best days are way behind him. Kassi has a great shot at an upset.

And people are cheering for Haymon?:lol:
What a farce and this is essentially a WBC eliminator if the winner fights Wilder.

    PBC is trash.

Arreola is only a name these days

people seem to remember that a fresher version of Arreola was out-boxed by a former LHW and lost twice to an out of shape Stiverne (one I massively overrated because of his fast hands and power) who was losing to 40 year old Ray Austin before his KO power saved him

Gaymon clearly looking to set up a fight with Wilder, and Arreola. What a joke. Kassi is kind of like Kevin Johnson, he could give Arreola a bit of trouble and maybe even take him the distance. If this doesn't end early it will probably be a stinker. :tired

Arreola will shatter that Wilder glass.
