McCline has a damn good chin. I cant remember what round off hand, but when he fought Peter back in 07, he took a monster overhand right from Peter flush, and didn't even get rocked. Peter is more heavy handed than Arreola, so if McCline comes to win, I could honestly see him knocking out Chris early in the fight, which may just turn into a slugout, one I think McCline has the advantage early in the fight.
this is ESPN type of fight. There is many other fights HBO could do better than this, Look at 122 all the big match ups and at 147 and all the fights that could be made.
Jameel keeps re emerging as a viable product, he started making noise when he was a Lewis sparring hand in around 1999, he then made impact of his own in becoming the second man to beat Mike Grant in Las Vegas, he went on to beat Lance and Briggs before losing in a gallent effort to Wladimir in Las Vegas late in a hard fight.. Then Jameel resurfaced and made hard work of Cedric Boswell after a few very tough rounds , he got a grip of his senses and stopped the tough Detroit man , then lost on points in a tough shot against BYRD.. once more he dissapointed by losing to Calvin Brock and having a disasterous night in Switzerland against 7 footer Nickolay Valuev damaging his knee at the end of a decent 1st round of a championship fight.. Then Jameel came again giving the WBC numero uno Sam Peter a nightmare , dropping the Nigerian badly before losing on points in a very hard boxed close call.. Jameel has the tools and tricks to be the man , but he falls often at the final hurdle due mostly to his lack of self beleif... If Arreola gets a decent raring to go Jameel with his head on straight he may wake up in his dressing room damaged bigtime, but if he rumbles and doesnt allow the demon bearing Jameel to get off from the bat, Chris may pull one of the best scalps of his career.. Its all about who shows up on the night........
I think they said on FNF that McCline signed for this fight today, so I guess its a certainty. That said, it looks like Wlad Klit almost has to fight Haye, now, and make an agreement, regardless. Cause Wlad's other fall back on option is no longer available.
I'd be shocked if Arreola beat McCline. The only way I'd see Arreola having a prayer is if McCline has faded alarmingly.
As bad as Arreola is, I think people are forgetting that McCline is no spring chicken and his recent performances have been little to shout about. I would go as far as to say that this is a different McCline that lost to Sam Peter. As soon as Arreola puts pressure on McCline then he will fold under the weight of it and submit before the final bell. It annoys me to say it because I am waiting for someone to stop this hype job in Arreola.
I'm going with McCline too, I think he's going to pull the upset, the FNF commentators said McCline had signed today to fight Arreola.
It would be rather shocking if an (out of shape) Arreola beats McCline. There aren't too many boxers that can come in at 265-270 at a reasonable level of body fat. McCline is huge, with a big reach advantage, experience advantage and a pretty good chin. A tubby Arreola will need lots of luck (always possible, especially at HW) to win this one. An in shape Arreola could beat a disinterested Jameel -- this could very well happen. I will cast my vote for Jameel by TKO or corner stoppage.
First off you douchebag moronic idiot. Your boy David haye is a glass jaw, **** sucking-- sniffling ***** (And yes I would say that to his face). He turned down fights against Chris Arreola and Kevin Johnson, and is in the process of wrecking a fight against KLIT. **** him, and **** you.. Go watch futbol and keep your bull**** off ESB and its forums you stupid limey *******. David Haye can blow me.
McCline had DeClined enough that I don't think he's too much of a threat at this point. He has the jab, but I really think Arreola's aggression will offset JM's physical advantages. McCline likes to jab and work the outside and Chris won't let him do that. I'll take Arreola by ko 7.
arreola aint no roy jones, but even when the guy is hurt he's dangerous. mccline has fought the better opposition, but he still lost. at least areoles finds a way to win and uses his head in there, that's what impresses me the most about him. i think it's chris by tko, he's not as big puncher as mccline, but has a more sustained attack that would give any heavy problems
McCline does not hit that hard but Arreola is very limited. McCline has a good chin so all by all I think McCline takes it on points. Now that arreola is quite hot and seen as the next big thing/hype it is just a fight for the heavies to get in the ring with him cause the first a-/B+ levelfighter can take the win home.
