    Here is Arreola at 229....

    [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_LQ38cQf5Co[/ame]

Hmm looking at that video I guess Arreola could stand to lose another lbs....so really 220ish is where Arreola ought to be, depending on how much muscle mass he's put on since then. So there's a ways to go.

I doubt he's lost any muscle mass. It's just that you never know from where fat comes off. That's the bad thing about fat, there are no ways to... spot reduce it.

People say Arreola was fat due to him not training hard, I disagree. If he didn't train hard, he wouldn't have lasted 10 rounds with Vitali or have fought 12 in a close decision loss with Adamek. He trains and comes in "fighting shape". Problem is, he eats too much and no matter how hard you train or how much physical exercise you do, if your diet is not right (quantity wise if not quality wise) you won't get any leaner.

  4. even at 229 he still has ***** tits and a soft body its obvious he doesnt train hard enough if he trained hard 230 would be a good weight for him because of his height

LOL, I always thought if he really toned up and slimmed down he can fight at CW.

    Nevertheless, I'll be watching tonight.

I respectfully disagree. IMO, Abell's record makes him look worse than he actually is.

He's been stopped twice but never been knocked flat-on-his-back out-cold - and has himself laid out just as many guys as Arreola; mostly of the same stock. Yeah - Minto, McCline and Walker are better names than he has in his win column...but: Minto was tiny compared to Arreola (it was like watching a kid fight his much older brother), McCline was shot like Dillinger, and Walker...well, Walker is a KO waiting to happen if he doesn't get to you first. :yep

I really think Joey could surprise some people tonight. He's powerful and in shape (certainly relative to Cristobal, at least) and highly motivated...and could exploit lingering doubts in Arreola's mind that were evident in his last fight by taking it to him. I'm not saying he'll win...but don't be shocked if he takes Arreola the distance and makes him work up a gooey fat sweat, like Quezada did.

He truly is...although it's hard to tell whether you were being sarcastic. :think

I'm not a huge fan of the outdated BMI system...but technically he is currently "obese" and dropping down to 200 lbs would put him at the high end of "Normal", just under the limit for "overweight".

I totally agree I'll be tuning in

granted it was a NC the KO punch of Butler was brutal

Arreola is very easy to hit and has been down by powerful guys with not much boxing ability like Travis Walker

Arreola is always exciting and despite being fat fights very well he is tough ate Vitalis best for ten rounds, fought Adamek hard with a hurt hand, fought hard vs a tough Quezada wit h2 busted hands

I dont care if he is fat or not the guy is experienced and can fight and for a fat guy has great quick hands and counter punching

Glad to see Cris lose the weight almost like how Peter in his last 3 was trim

Hopefully the weight keeps going down, He doesnt have much muscle so the weight loss doesnt add on to any intimidation he could probably be 220

but losing weight allows him to be more fluid and quick

I agree with much of your post this guy Abell has the power to do it, from what ive seen the guy looks decent enough to land on an easy to hit Arreola

also what if Cris breaks his hands again

No, I wasn't being sarcastic, he really is 50 lbs overweight, it's really sad to see just how bad today's HWs are.

I hope Arreola gets beaten tonight, so we can put a stop to these endless posts of "I want to see him at bla bla bla weight". He was overrated and regardless of his weight he won't really add to his arsenal. Yes, he may last the pace better or be able to pressure more in pockets, but I wish people would stop pipe dreaming that if he had the body of an Adonis, he'd be a different fighter.
