Teh legendary Quietman calls out Arreola :

Say what you want but Ruiz fought everyone and is really game. Who wins this exciting matchup between 'CMON JAWNY **** THE REFEREE' or Mister 'I come up everytime at the highest weight possible". ? :smoke:smoke

In a fair fight, Arreola stops that cheater late.

Let me break this down for you:

We have all seen what Ruiz is reduced to when he is forced by the referee to fight within the rules. (See the Jones fight) Ruiz is AWFUL when he is forced to abide by the rules. The guy can't fight he has no power (2 KO's in 14 fights this DECADE yes folks this joke has 2 whopping KO's in almost 10 years) no skill to speak off, an awful octopus style.

The guy has the distinction of being the ONLY former Heavyweight beltholder to lose to not one but TWO former Middleweights. One who has a horrible Glass Jaw and the other who was so fat and out of shape for their fight his gut was hanging over his trunks and his ass crack showing. That is pitiful to put it nicely.

And people want to praise this joke? He is so bad HBO said they will NEVER air one of his fights again he stunk out the joint so many times.

Ruiz is an awful fighter and I could not even score the majority of his fights becuase there was so much holding, clinching, hugging, wrestling, and illegal tactics going on.

Ruiz is a disgrace and so is anyone who tries to justify his "wins". The guy is a black eye for the sport.

Amen Rico. I didn't feel like laying out just what a FRAUD this limited clubfighter is, but you've put it well.

Forced to fight WITHIN the rules, Ruiz looses every time. Arreola doesn't have to be that good to beat this cheater. Ruiz has all the skills of a high-grade clubfighter. Without the cheating, he's just another limited palooka.

It was comical in the Jones fight seeing Ruiz "attempt" to box to put it mildly he looked lost.

Being the only Heavyweight "Champion" to lose to 2 former Middleweights is about as disgraceful as it gets.

Add to that the way he "won" fights by holding excessively and faking low blows! And got more than one gift decision too!

Without Don King to grease the wheels, Ruiz is lucky is he wins a regional title. He would have lost every fight at the world class level if he had been forced to fight within the rules.

I'm not defending Ruiz; all the bad press he gets is not for nothing. But every so often, when we least expect it, he does show us something. For instance, in the Rahman fight he actually raised my eyebrows a couple of times, and won easily on his boxing skills. But, just like almost everyone else, I would like to see some fresh blood so we aren't treated to retreads, not matter how good they once were. Is Henry Akinwande still looking for fights, along with McCall, Tommy Morrison, Ray Mercer, Rahman, Maskaev, Ray Austin, Michael Grant, Oquendo, and the list goes on? And what about Virchis and Sultan Ibragimov -- have they just given up after losing once or twice?

i'm not a fan of ruiz's style but he's got balls. he wants the toughest all the time and isn't afraid to fight anyone and i think he can beat arreola albeit in a ugly holding manner

I also want to clarify something. Roy Jones beat John Ruiz fair and square.

Ruiz by decision or late KO due to Arreola tiring possibly. He probably won't take the fight. He is just talking. Where was he when Vlad was looking for him? He knows they are all tied up and started talking.
