    Teddy Atlas just said its harder for a fighters father to stop a fight because sometimes he thinks its him in there. Man this guy is a ****in idiot. Every father stops fights quicker when there own son in is in the ring.

    Releford shrivels himself up into a small target, sucking in his gut and squeezing his compacted arms tight against his face as he weasels his way through the pocket and by Arreola repeatedly. Arreola keeps clubbing his way in, leading with overhand rights and trying to smash Releford open like a pinata. Releford isn't making with the candy, though. He tells Arreola he needs to floss a bit more. Releford is very slippery in there. A couple of short jabs and rights by Releford, but just for show. He's going for distance now, not trying to win. Arreola thrusts out hard jabs and rights. Releford backs up and greets Arreola with a clinch. Arreola flurries.

    STOPPED!

    Eh, decent stoppage. Releford wasn't in the most trouble at that exact moment, but he'd taken some licks and was headed for worse.

    Not true. I can think of a few examples where a father let a fight go on too long. Zab/Cotto comes to mind.

    Nah he's right. A lot of am organisations wont let fighters dads in their corner for this reason.

    I have to say, Releford has some positive attributes he isnt a bum. Very good jab and decent hand speed. Too bad he doesnt have more punch variety and doesnt throw in combinations. his defense isnt bad.

    I enjoyed the fight over all.

    You know...I think Arreola looked pretty good.

    I'd like to see Arreola at his current weight against Haye..that would be very interesting, imo.

    Releford has good defense, as in he deflects most of the shots ever so slightly that he doesn't tend to get a full force shot. It's why he didn't go down, but he was done.. if the ref didn't stop it there.. he was going to in 5 seconds more time when Releford was beat to a pulp on the ropes.

    You have to give arreola credit. He comes to fight and gives it his all. I dont see his defense particularly better which kind of adds action to his fights,

    His stamina has never been a problem, best of luck to him.
