    maskaev-peter highlight.

Peter couldn't put him down with those bombs, old horse Maskaev still can do it, and he wobbled Peter momentarily there. if the fight goes longer than 6 rounds Maskaev can KO Arreola...who has been coming in a terrible shape....if Chris comes anywhere above 250 Maskaev has a real chance.

Also Oleg comes in in-shape unlike Decline McCline who came in looking like the michellin man.

With all that being said Arreola should still be the clear favorite to win, I just like the Maskaev underdog story.

oleg's punch resistance is terrible and he is on dead legs, totally shot to pieces and has been way to inactive

Arreola will KO Maskaev early. It'll be a good name on Arreola's resume though.

This is a useless fight. Maskaev is way past his prime. Arreola needs to fight someone else.

When Oleg was being illegally rabbit-punched, he should have taken a knee so he could at least survive the round. If he took Peter into deep waters, the outcome of the fight might have been different.

    Arreola. Maskaev is too old.

In their primes, Maskaev. Thought Chris could catch him on that glass jaw, possibly. But I would definitely favor Oleg.

This is the exact type of fight boxing doesn't need... a mismatch passed off as some sort of a step-up or test. In a way, the logical followup to the McCline fight, but only by a promoter's logic.

Arreola needs to fight a legit top 10, not another retiree.

In other words, I'm reasonably certain it will happen. It'll probably be made an eliminator.

not the best of fights to be made .. agreed.

but with Povetkin aiming at a Wlad fight ... Vitali looking like he'll fight Haye

and Valuev not so much in the running

why not let Arreola take apart Maskaev? he needs a fight and outside of John Ruiz (who did call him out ... but will probably try and force the WBA to give him a 3rd fight with Valuev)

    who can Arreola face?

I was disappointed by Arreola fighting Maskaev. If Maskaev is in shape he can be very dangerous, but I would expect Arreola to win by TKO or even KO, however, it's not a sure thing as Maskaev can surprise everyone, he can punch hard. By the way, Maskaev is way over-the-hill.

This could be a trap kind of fight for Arreola. He will be the favorite and should be the older Maskaev. However, Maskaev can really hit and Arreola does not have the best defense. I won't at all be surprised if Arreola doesn't hit the deck at some point in this fight with a counter right hand.

I like this fight with Arreola expected to win easy , people may knock the match up but why not, makes sense and is a good measuring stick for chris , Maskeav being a recent former champion (even though one of the weakest title holders) Chris will have to surley get Oleg outta there quicker and more impressively Then Samuel Peters if he is to gather momentum leading into a klitschko fight.

Maskaev has been KO'd by lesser opponents than Arreola. I don't expect Arreola to have too much trouble with this older/slower version of the "Big O".
