Chris Arreola vs Oleg Maskeav who wins?

If it happens, will it be in LA? If so, I'll be there.

 

It's pretty clear that Maskaev is still around just for a final payday, which he already guaranteed as mandatory to Vitali.

The only way I see him taking on a fight against Arreola is if Goossen pays him as much money as he would get in the fight against Vitali, otherwise there is no chance for this bout.

Maskaev not only got stopped by Peter but was also getting outboxed and beaten to the punch badly. He was way behind on the scorecards at the time of the stoppage. Maskaev is 40 and has never been what one would call quick fisted. But he has looked even slower in the last few fights I've seen.

The winner of this fight will be vitalis mandatory. So it makes sense.
But arreola should win this one if he wants a shot at the the man.

LOL, I hear you. I picked Maskaev over Peter so now I'm cautious. I think it could go either way. Arreola is just moving up the ranks while Maskaev is a seasoned fighter and probably still a top 20 heavyweight.

 

If he's in good shape and puts up a good fight, I'm favoring Maskaev. I think he'll land punishing shots on Arreola, the question is whether he can hold up against Arreola's onslaught and avoid getting KO'd. I also have to question Arreola's chin, a big factor.

Think it could be exciting.

In the fignt against Malcom Tann on the way up. Tann had a good job but not a lot of power, he's like a poor man's Larry Holmes, and Arreola hit him all day before stopping him. It was a good fight.

 

Maskaev has a puncher's chance. When he fought Peter he had a bad back, so we will see. Oleg is old and over-the-hill. This fight is a joke.

 

Oleg's probably too shot for this to be an even money fight.

The Oleg that lost to Peter probably beats Arreola.

The Oleg from just three years before that tosses Arreola headfirst through the wall and into the parking lot.
