Vitali will end him in 5 rounds or less.

Bet on the under + Vitali TKO, it will look like the 15th round of Ali vs. Wepner for the most part of the fight, Arreola will get knocked numb if he is willing to stand with Vitali.

SuzieQ has it out for Vitali, but you're right. Vitali despite being 38 is still very formidable in the ring. I look for clinical mid round TKO over Arreola.

Firstly, I dont want a fat man as WBC champion. I never thought much of Vitali Klitschko but he's a serious athlete, well-conditioned. He's not gonna embarrass the sport by being a fat jelly of a champion.

Chris Areola isn't impressive at all. From what I've seen of him he looks mediocre. I dont see much potential.
Juan Carlos Gomez was a much better boxer, and Klitschko handled him in his last fight.

Arreola brings what needs to be brought to the Klitschkos, a brawling offensive style. The question is does he have the stamina and defense to walk through whats going to be coming at him? His defense looks suspect, and he takes a lot of shots, but he does throw a lot of punches from weird angles, and likes to get close and mix it up. Brian Nielson, Frans Botha, and Tony Tubbs didnt have the greatest bodies either, but they could hold their own in a fight.
Seeing Arreola ripped isnt going to make a difference in this fight. As long as he comes into it in decent "fighting" shape, and hes been pretty active, so its just a matter of bringing his weight down by fight time, which should happen.

I would like Arreola to win but doubt it his defence is poor and he is almost always overweight I think Vitali might batter him in all honesty. From what I undertsand Haye used to beat him up in sparring too.

Both Peter and mcCline look in GREAT shape there.

Arreola is in awful shape. If he's in good shape for Vitali I think he will win; Vitali has shown little since he came back other than beating a slob and an old former CW who was known as a lacklustre Heavy. The Gomez win was good, but not going to stop the naysayers.

Arreola will go for it, that's for sure, and that's what is needed to make a Klitschko fight entertaining.

From what I heard Haye knocked him out and Arreola's team went crazy and started trying to jump Haye.

No source, can't remember. Probably bull****. But definitely believable.

I have been watching Areola and he has the type of rythym breaking style and power that can cause problem for anyone, but one the downside this former cruiserweight amatuer star got caught up in the 80's to 2000 attitude that fat and more is better in the Heavyweight division. I think if Chris had the dedication outside the ring and conquered himself and the fork or beer or what ever he would be better prepared for the other man in the ring. McCline win was impressive and I think he is the most dangerous American fighter but Vitali is controlled and has power. Can Chris get inside Vitalis long punches? and become effective. Chris has shown stamina and power but he also can be hit and Vitali can punch...Who will be the stronger man should the fight go past 7 rds?...I thought Areola looked great starching Chazz Witherspoon but Vitali is a horse of a different color. Will age be a factor? will Areola's Wild Bull style cause Vitali early trouble or after an early start will Chris resign himself to the end of Vitali's jab and hard right hands and give in at the end of 8rds. I am leaning with Vitali to emerge victorious and one of thiose factors is the ovious 30 lbs of extra luggage Areola BRINGS

Yeah, me too. You can say what you like about the Klitschkos (me not being there biggest fan) but they always come in shape for a fight. That extra reach, experience and fitness will be what wins Vitali the fight.

Then again if Arreola shocks everyone like Chambers did last time it may be a different story though. If Chris can keep that pressure on him for a consistant amount of time due to a big stamina improvment we could be seeing a first ever Mexican heavyweight world champion.

Thats pretty disgraceful. Training to take off weight and not work your timing and boxing skills is a big problem. I didnt realize he was this out of shape. Didnt the guy just fight?

I wasn't trying to imply that it's impossible or unreasonable to expect a heavyweight to weigh in at the normal weight limit. Most of the 70's heavyweights managed to stay in great shape, for instance.

Just thinking out loud about why you see more overweight professional boxers than overweight professional athletes in almost any other sport.

Mostly because of the time off. Also because most boxers kill themselves to make weight. All they want to do after the fight is rest and eat. No excuse for this slob. Up and coming contenders have to fight more often until they reach the top ten. THen they have to be careful and pick and choose their opponents to secure that ranking before they get the eventual title fight. Off time is clearly not a good thing for this guy. Funny Dan Goosen did the same thing with David Tua. He went from a fit fighting machine to a total slob. It was clear the off time hurt Tua badly, and when he got his title shot he wasnt prepared physically to fight Lewis the way he needed to.
