Not sure I agree on people saying this is the wrong fight. We all say people don't want to fight each other, politics get in the way - and yet when a promoter has multiple CWs on the books pushing for world titles, and one of them is a title holder, what else should they do?

Okolie could go through the CWs who can then fight each other in a big domestic fight later - not sure I see the problem. Okolie will batter both of them and go back to spoiling at a higher level.,

This looks like a fantastic undercard.

I am still shocked Shalom has actually matched Okolie and CBS against each other. It feels like something Hearn/Warren would never do. Maybe it is naive matchmaking but more of this would be great.

Appreciate there is the risk Okolie could win a dull decision but it is on CBS to ensure that does not happen. It is also on Okolie to put the bed those who have slated him lately and I feel that is part of the reason for his quick turnaround.

Credit to both boxers for taking this as there are certainly easier options available for both.

I guess it's just the right time for both. Although it's bigger, we've had DeGale/Groves and Dubois/Joyce.

Not a bad card. The two fights before the main event are great. I feel like a lot of people might not watch because of Okolie's previous performance. I can see it being another borefest unfortunately because they have sparred hundreds of rounds together and know each other really well.

You're probably right, but since it's not PPV I'll watch it, in the hope CBS provokes a bit of a firefight early on - then we'll see if Okolie fancies stopping it early which he probably can...

It's an interesting fight (not too often you can say that about fights featuring Lawrence Okolie). Most likely Okolie will grind a disputed decision; he will want nothing of CBS from mid to close range, so most likely he will ping a 1-2 from distance and then clinch much to the refs indifference. CBS getting the win would be great for the division but I don't see it as likely.

Finally bit the bullet and bought tickets for this. Only floor seating left so should be pretty full and a cracking atmosphere. Very reasonably priced too.

Really looking forward to it. Not often we get world title fights come to Dorset and there's a couple of good looking fights on the undercard!

Good stuff! Hopefully Okolie really turns up. I get the feeling he wants to prove something in this fight. Enjoy the show

I'm fully prepared to watch Okolie perform his ultimate super move - the hug. I expect a 12 round cracker with the fight gradually becoming more intimate as Okolie hugs Billam-Smith more and more.

I Normally couldn't care less for an Okolie fight but this one intrigues me a bit with it being a domestic rivalry (although its highly likely Okolie will put on another bore fest),. Its surprised me how well its sold tbh, just read they have had approval for additional seating so it should be a decent atmosphere. The Eggington vs Pigford is fight of the night i think, should be pure entertainment as always with Eggington
