Other fighters have quit, some with injured shoulders, Vitali gets more flack because it's recent and he's an active fighter, and also the fact that he doesn't exactly have many quality wins. Byrd is the 2nd best fighter he faced and Vitali lost when he hurt his shoulder and quit on his stool. The best one he faced beat him on cuts.

It's not like he can wash away this fight like other fighters, who have more quality wins, can.

Vitali Klitschko has a PhD in sports medicine, I think he is a better judge of what permanant, possibly career ending damage he might do to his shoulder if he fought on than you guys.

a guy like Rocky Marciano would have continued.

But Vitali is still a great fighter, a warrior.

This thread is freaking stupid and just looking for attention. If anybody didn't think Vitali redeem himself by the way he fought Lewis with the nastest cut ever are ******s. Vitali admit he made a mistake of quitting in the Bryd fight. He thinks that his career would be over if he still continue on with a very bad torn cuff shoulder. But he knows that in boxing even step in the ring is a risk and show the heart of the warrior and damn he show that warrior heart in the Lewis fight.

He just become a heavyweight champion of the world!
He took the fight on 10 days notice, went to Europe to box a guy who was bigger, taller, stronger and more powerful. Give him some credit.

Vitali is a quitter and will forever be a quitter. He might look good against Fat Sam Peter and Golfer Corrie Sanders, but against elite fighters like Lewis and Byrd, he quits like a dog.

Sure Vitali got upset at the officials stopping the fight... After the fight was stopped. He wanted a way out because he refused to bite down and man up against Lewis.

Then look at a real man like Miguel Cotto, who fought all 12 rounds with a bad cut, too. That's the differene between a fighter in Vitali and a REAL FIGHTER in Cotto.

Byrd said that Vitali was more difficult fighter than Vlad. Vitali had his arm go numb and did not want nerve damage, but the prejudiced liars want him dead, completely out of the way. Their minds are so full of hate that they would do anything to destroy Vitali. After the fight, Vitali had 2.5 hours of surgery to save his arm, if not, he could never have fought again, just what the sick minded haters want. Well, he is not stupid. He is now the WBC heavyweight champion of the world!!!!!!! LOL!!!!!!! Haters are puking their heads off right now. Vitali was winning fight Vs. Byrd easily with one arm! LOL! Vlad beat Byrd two times easily. Vitali is not stupid like haters, he still has boxing career and they can't stand it. LOL! Go puke some more haters. Lie some more haters! LOL!

Again show me the proof he quit in the Lewis fight. Wheres the video? The doctor was the one that stop the fight in which Vitali was clearly pissed off while no doctor didn't stop the Cotto fight. Even though Cotto cut was in the bad spot, Vitali cut was by far the worst cut maybe ever i have ever seen.

Vitali would be an all time great heavyweight if he had a heart. He has all the physical tools to be great, but he has absolutely no courage whatsoever. On the contrary, a real man like Miguel Cotto believes that he owes his millions of fans around the world a show, and that's what he gave against Clottey.

All Vitlay thinks of is himself. Very selfish.
