****ing A, cant he just retire. He looked horrible against Shaun George, and got beaten and humiliated.

He accomplished alot for being an undersized HW, he was the top champion at one time, fought the best competition. This kind of fight is no good for the sport

This is kind of weird. Byrd beat Klitschko at heavy now he fights cruiser on his undercart. Funny, ha?!

    Not exactly.

(Technically, yes, but Byrd doesn't even think he beat a Klitschko)

well maybe he will fair better at cruiser than he did at light heavy. he just looked un-healthy in his fight at light heavyweight.

You're not trying to say Chris Byrd was ever the "top" heavyweight champion are you?

I think at one point Byrd was top belt holder! But then Wlad beat him!

Between Vitali's retirement in 2005 and Wlad taking his belt in 2006 Byrd was ranked as the No. 1 Heavyweight by Ring Magazine. It was bull**** because Wlad was always better than him but that how it was.

    The top champion?

....c'mon now, he was a pretty good fighter, but after beating Holyfield to win the vacant title, he got gifts in everyone of his title defenses.....

As a Heavyweight champion he was less than average.

This is true but he achieved more than one a large majority or pro's cant do. Facts remain Byrd achieved alot in this sport considering his size. But its really time to call it a day. If he had any common sense before he would have stopped off at cruiser instead of the lunatic idea to drop to 175.

byrd became the top HW after Wlad beat him of course, its a klit fan thing

reality is byrd and Ruiz were a perfect example of a bad era

Byrd was a quality operator though you need some skills to beat him, just too small

Byrd v Jones that makes sense , whatever weiught they want to come in at too
