Byrd has said that if Tarver beats Clinton Woods in April. He would like to kick off his tour as lightheavy weight with a fight with him.

I find this hard to believe that Tarver would take this fight and that Byrd can get down to below 180 but what do you think?

I think Byrd will have the same problems Roy Jones had with taking all of that weight off (being that it's alot of muscle not fat). Ironically it would be Tarver as the opponent in both cases.

Byrd also mention Calzaghe, Hopkins and several other fighters.

WTF! Does Chrissy Byrd think he can drop down to Lt. Heavy and automatically fight top contenders? He'll have to wait in line like everyone else.

Chrissy can probably get below 180 if he wanted to, especially if Tracy tells him to. But the real issue is if Byrd can still 'fight' effectively at this point in his career regardless of weight class. I say no. Honestly though, I would like to see Chrissy fight Dawson later this year so he can finally retire after Dawson beats him.

Chris Byrd is a former #1 heavyweight and a two time heavyweight champion. He would and should be able to step right into a title fight. Just like Jones did more than once.

LOL! Chrissy has nothing on RJ. And if RJ and Chrissy had fought at HW like I hoped, RJ would of beat his ass too.

Funny since Roy never said so. He and Byrd are close friends. Yet Byrd was open to the fight Jones was not.

BTW, Flatlander. Chrissy was a two time champion  only because he fought in a very bad and lethargic era of heavyweights.

    Is that you Chrissy?

I'm aware of RJ and Chrissy allegedly being friends. However I don't recall Chrissy ever being open to the possibility of fighting RJ. As a matter of fact, if you don't mind me deviating off topic for a second, I distinctively recall James Toney calling out Byrd on a half dozen occasions yet Chrissy failed to take Toney up on his offer.
