Well he did say it was because he almost got signed, then lost it to a heavyweight, so he decided he'd become a heavyweight.

 

More like it. There’s something missing in his life that he can not get back, it’s boxing, the whole package, the fame, the money, the gym sparring. It’s sent him over the edge imo, him thanking people in a vid I seen was a mentally unhinged man. He needs meds instead of punches

 

And to add to that, I would like to point out that he has overcome some serious physical health hurdles. I think he had a hard time even walking, or something in those lines.
So I can imagine that it greatly inspired him to chase after a new goal. "I did this, what If I can get back to where I once was?"
Can´t blame the man.

 

He looks like Shannon Briggs except if he used crack rather then steroids.
