I respect Byrd tremendously. He had an amazing career and was a huge over achiever. That said, I don't like his move to 175 at all. He was already a fading fighter for the past few years and dropping all that muscle at his age is ridiculous. Oh, he'll beat Shaun George et al but I don't think he'll recapture past glories in this division and will just open himself up to punishment down the road that he doesn't need.:smoke :smoke
Slight anaemi can cause it. Slight dehydration can cause it. Unless you have any experience in the medical field, you wouldn't know about it, it's by no means completely unnatural to have pigment changes, although it may look vast because he just had a workout.
Best thing that can happen on the 16th is that Chris Byrd shows POWER for his new weight, I hope he blasts Shaun George out early :happy
I am curious to see how the light heavies react to Byrd's power, cause I think his power won't be that depleted from his heavyweight days. Go, BYRD! I am looking forward to it.
Bryd looks thin, maybe a little too lean IMO. I wish Bryd the best, if he was fighting Jones or Calzaghe tomorrow, my money would be on Bryd.
The interview says Byrd obviously wants to see Roy beat Calzaghe, then he and Roy throw down. But I think everyone in that division has the same hope. I do think Byrd will do alot better than some are expecting him to. I think his days as a heavy will put him at a confidence advantage, as well at a power advantage. And his skill level obviously needs to explanation.
I always thought he looked straight up flabby at heavyweight, this picture isn't surprising to me at all
maybe he don't use his pool, and don't hang around inthe sun lately. That is a case of black neck. Just like a case of red neck. Both can be picked up young from just a couple of weeks of too much sun after none.
