Agreed, he's probably gearing up to face the winner of Calzaghe/Jones, he's smart in a way, why stay in a division where the risk is higher than the reward, by dropping down 2 weight classes, he will make alot more money than at Heavyweight, and will be able to hold on to the majority of his power, while running a very low risk of getting knocked out.

Yeah, after being clocked by the 260 pound McCline, and the 245 pound Golota and both Klitscko brothers, shaking off a shot from Jones, Johnson, or Tarver will be a walk in the park.

Well, I think it's pretty safe to say that Byrd's got a decent chin.
BUT, he's been KD'd by a smaller guy in the heavyweights, he's been stopped in the amatuers by LHW's.. there's no guarantee that he wont get KO'd in any of his future fights, he's up against speed now, the most hurtful punch is the one you don't see.

So true Heavy, what he will lose in power, he will probably make up in hand and foot speed. Is there any matches scheduled for Bryd at light heavy yet?

IF he was a LHW his whole career and then moved up and fought Vitali Klitschko and made him quit, it would be shocking.

The question is, could Byrd beat the best around light heavyweight (Calzaghe, Dawson, Kessler)?

That, or he's been doing roadwork with sweats on and only his neck is exposed.

Even if the pic is photoshopped (I don't think it is), he still basically looks like that. There's video of him up on Youtube at 175, and he looks pretty ripped from the neck up.

I'm looking forward to finding out.

I've never been a Byrd fan but the man could be a beast at 175.

He could show some real power at this weight as well as an awesome chin.

Of course at the same time he could be weight drained and weak as a kitten.

I can't believe i'm saying this but i'm excited to see Chris Byrd fight. :good

This is definitely a fake! Just look at it! His face and neck is so much darker then his body! Clearly Photoshopped.
