Lewis sparred with Ruiz and said it would be a very ugly fight, so he never did.

Lewis never proved he could beat a world class southpaw.

Holyfield is a given, he was still close to prime when Lewis beat him.

Tyson was shot to **** and yes in his prime he was a much better fighter than Byrd, but when Lewis beat him he was as shot as a shot fighter could be. He was a name and that is all imo.

Vitali is a better name yes, I forgot about him. But prior to Lewis' fight with Vitali, Byrd was ranked higher if I'm not mistaken. But yes Vitali is a better name than Byrd.

Ruddock I can't see how a guy who made his name over giving Tyson 2 hard fights but imo he wasn't as good as proved by losing to Morrison and Lewis obliterated him.

Golota is a good choice as he has a draw with Byrd but I think the way he has lost to Lewis, old Tyson, Brewster and Austin should count against him in the overall view of things.

It seems Byrd has 2 wins and a draw over your top 5.

Byrd struggled with big athletic guys. Lewis is closer to Vitali than Wlad in terms of fluidity. Lewis shows up out of shape and gets outboxed and outfoxed.

All of them ranked higher than Byrd that at the time Lewis fought them.

Maybe vitali didn't I'm not too sure but his subsequent success in the division makes up for that.

Lewis didn't fight Byrd because no one wanted to see the mistmatch of a 245lb ATG super heavyweight beating the living **** out of a feather-fisted, blown up Super Middleweight.

Oh and for the Klitards, if your hero Wlad wasn't getting knocked out by journeymen and fat golfers then the Lewis fight would have probably happened. But if Lewis had fought Wlad he would not have got any credit for it anyway, people would have just said he only beat up a guy would had already been exposed by limited fighters in Puritty and Sanders.

He still is the most talented, although his powers are on the wane. As for Byrd he wouldn't have troubled Lewis for more than 4 rounds, before Lewis started to get through and eventually stopped him.

Had Lewis fought Bowe however, there would have been a much different outcome...

Byrd fought the Klitschkos 3 times and won a total of 3 rounds. That is an average of 1 round per fight, pathetic.

Anyone that thinks Byrd would have done anything to Lennox Lewis is delusional.

Lennox would have murdered byrd. Too big and too good. Byrd did not have the punching power to do anything to lewis. If we stop kidding ourselves, byrd is not a real heavyweight. he is a lightheavy or cruiser that had to fight at heavy to get big dollar fights.

He is what he is, people probably is slighting him because they see this is a hidden Klitschko propaganda thread

Just because Byrd put on a power punching display, later forcing Vitali to quit on his stool, doesn't mean he could do the same to LL............
