Thanks. It's arguable Wlad is also the more skilled. Vitali never stopped being a former kickboxer

Vitali's resume is also **** compared to Wlad's

Wlad is probably more skilled if we're talking prime. His resume is also better let's be honest. But Vitali is infinitely more durable and awkward. I think he'd go through a storm to grind Wlad down and out.

Wlad aint stopping Vitali thats for sure...Vitali pressures him and brakes him down to win TKO in the later rounds. Wlad would have to throw a lot to keep Vitali of him and he would gass and get stopped...
All WLad did was on his amazing talent no toughness and 0 heart as he showed vs Fury...

I'd take Vitali because of the better chin and stamina, even though Wlad has the better technique. But Chris Byrd's opinion can be taken with a grain of salt after that time he said if him and Wlad fought 100 times Byrd would win 98 of them, even though Wlad had already beaten him twice and knocked him spark out.

Wlad better duck Byrd then. 98 consecutive beatings are a lot ;)

I liked Byrd in the ring, the guy was elusive as fook and it was really interesting watching the bigger guys have real trouble with him, that said, Vlad beat Byrd bad and twice. After that Byrd seemed to go into this possession of denial about what happened between them every interview etc thereafter, so much so in his mind he believes it didn't really happen as it happened.

Nothing too surprising from Byrd in regards to his assessment of the brothers.

Wlad is clearly the better natural athlete with his speed and natural power, he also has better fundamentals.

But Vitali was the more skilled fighter of the 2, with a greater variety of shots. He has a half decent uppercut which Wlad lacks, his punches are more varied in his punch selection while Wlad is more predictable with his style.

Vitali has always had better footwork as well, not quicker feet but better lateral movement and awareness of where he needs to be and awareness of range which is why he can stand in front of his opponent with his hands down, slip shots and still pick off his opponent.

Vitali also has better instincts, he knows when to clinch, he never had to have Steward teach him that and highlight it's importance, it's something he always had in his repertoire from an early stage. That combined with his better movement and judge of distance is why he doesn't need to clinch as much as Wlad.

Then of course there is Vitali's durability and toughness which Wlad clearly lacks.

I never understood why nobody gives Wlad a chance of KOing Vitali.

Vitali has a great chin but with wlad we are dealing with above and beyond power as well with Wlad.

Stopped due to a torn rotator cuff and stopped due to cuts.

Wlad has been flat out KO'd/TKO'd. Let's not be difficult and pretend they were the same. Wlad gets sparked by Vitali.

Vitali has a good enough chin to not be taken out by one shot, he showed that against Lewis. For Wlad to stop him he'll need to beat him down and with Wlad's cautious style where he minimises risk it's unlikely he would force the fight in a way that would be needed to break Vitali down and stop him.

I think the fight would be far too competitive for the kind of domination Wlad would require to open up and take the risks to take out Vitali.

Wlad wins. Too skilled and powerful for Vitali, to handle with his low guard style. He would have to respect Wladimir's gamebreaking power from either hand, and get beat by the jab as the result. Then he would lose it on cuts.
