I'm gonna watch the fight at Cox Pavilion. This pavilion is usually reserved for women's basketball for UNLV and from what I've heard, there's not a lot of promotion for this fight.

Can somebody tell me what I should look for?

He's a southpaw and a very technical boxer, his inside and outside game are superb. His movement is very tricky and he relies on his speed and reflexes to avoid punches a lot of the time. He will probably make this guy miss and counter-punch his face to a mess and get a tko in 7 or 8 rounds.

Byrd has some of the slickest, and most effective, waist movement of any fighter I've seen. Very hard to hit, cleanly, even with him up against the ropes.

Very, very fast counterpuncher, too. Accurate.

Not very powerful at heavy, but I expect his power, when translated to light heavy, will (may) be alot more effective.

People need to explore the heavyweight scene, period, if they think Byrd's feather fisted.

He's not a power puncher, but no ones that can hurt both Ike and Tua with shots to the body is feather fisted.

Hits a hell of a lot harder than, say, Toney did as a HW.

You have over a thousand post on boxing forum and you don't know anything about Chrissy Byrd? :huh

Byrd's last TKO was eight years ago against a rotten tomatoe my sister could knock out.

Real solid defensivly. Can pick off shots real well with his gloves and counter, slips and counters well. Very good handspeed and a very strong chin. Plus hes a nice guy I hope the best for him.

To be honest, I'm not sure what to expect out of Chris Byrd at light heavyweight. What made him successful as a heavyweight was his elusiveness. He would make bigger fighters look rather clumsy and potshot when the opportunity presented itself.

Byrd being down at a lighter weight where the opponents are quicker (and fresher) is gonna be fun to watch in any event and don't be surprised if he stops a few guys. If you ask me, assuming he has anything left in the tank, Byrd can reinvent himself as a straight-ahead fighter. If he was willing to try and walk down Wladimir Klitschko I'd imagine that he'd have absolutely no fear of going straight into the trenches rather than doing what he usually does.
