Fight of the century, against sleep that is. Ellis could make the fight if he had to, which may help him steal low volume rounds in situations like this, he would rather box if he could though, but he never faced a southpaw to my knowledge, hard to predict, they’re both underrated, people don’t typically like or rate boring fighters, but they did have bags of boxing ability, Byrd’s Tua win was very impressive on paper and is better than any Ellis win for my money, in a head to head match, it probably would come down to 2 things, who did more, Ellis could do slightly more by being on the front foot, but he wouldn’t be walking onto punches as sluggers would do, he’d be feinting, jabbing etc, being elusive on the front foot, doing slightly more to steal rounds, the second thing being whether Ellis can handle the southpaw stance, which is a big unknown.
