Bruno has big advantages in height, weight, reach, fist size, but I think Byrd is too slick and skilled for Big Frank. I think Byrd wins this by tko in 10.

byrd isnt stopping an elite fighter unless there arm falls off.

byrd does'nt pressure enough to make bruno become unstuck but i dont think frank can outbox him enough rounds to win the fight.

When I think of this fight I think a lot about Byrd vs Jimmy Thunder. Bruno, is better than Thunder, but still very mechanical. Chris Byrd in his prime was like a big Pernell Whitaker. I can see Chris frustrating Bruno, with Bruno unable to land anything big, and Chris countering with combinations, wearing him down and stopping him late.

Bruno had a very good Left Jab, And much heavier then Byrd's, If the fight took place in the UK, i can see Byrd being warned by the ref for being too negative, An Older Bruno caught up with Carl Williams, i would not be surprised if a Younger Bruno Kept Byrd Shackled in defence mode, with Frank winning on Points, Chris does not want to get hit with the type of streight right hand Bomb, coming in behind his Jab, the type which scored the first knockdown against Coetzee and the quick KO over Jose Ribalta
    - I just Feel Chris would be too Negative and lose on points to the more committed Bruno....And if Chris Zigs when he Should Zag ...and gets caught flush...

That was a masterclass by Byrd, really. He made Thunder look so bad it was unbelievable, and that was maybe one of the best versions of Thunder that ever stepped into the ring.

I like Frank I don't think Byrd hit hard enough to reduce Frank's punch output

I lean towards Bruno also. His chin wouldn't be a factor against Byrd, and he just might storm Chris out of there. There were a number of guys that lasted against other heavies that Bruno was able to blast out early. I don't think he'd be at all afraid of Byrd. All the guys who stopped Frank were big punchers.

This is a close matchup that i could see going either way.. But if Byrd does manage to be to slick he will win decisively. Can he outslick the somewhat robotic but very powerful Bruno.... Or does Brunos good jab get him inside to over power Byrd and knock him out? ID say more times than not Byrd (the Boxer) would outslick Bruno(slugger)... But i dont see Byrd getting a ko,unless Bruno severly gasses late.

Byrd may not have been heavy handed, but he hit hard enough to command the respect of his opponents. You don't necessarily to be a big puncher to stop someone, either.Let's not forget,Chris Byrd was actually a very good body puncher, too.Knowing Bruno's stamina issues, those body punches could really be the deciding factor in this fight.

Anyway,I see Byrd beating Bruno down the stretch of the fight.Bruno could be a very strong starter, boxing well behind his heavy jab and decisively winning the earlier rounds of the fight.Byrd dropped many of the earlier rounds to much bigger and stronger opponents in Andrew Golota and Jameel McCline, but he took over the fight in the second half and really dominated for the most part.

Perfect match up for Bruno, a smaller none puncher. All the rangy jabbers Byrd fought got the better of him, Klits/Golota/Oquendo. If Golota beats Byrd, Bruno does better and he might just stop him

    Agreed.

The idea of the featherfisted Byrd stopping Bruno is daft...big puncher McCall couldn't stop an exhausted Bruno.
