Two slick boxers but I'm going with Johnson on points because I think he would catch nearly every jab Chris threw at him. Thoughts?

Byrd would confuse the hell out of him. But it depends on the number of rounds fought, because Byrds power isn´t exactly top notch at HW.

Byrd made his rep on outspeeding and outcunning larger, more powerful foes (unless he didn't). Here, he is presented with someone his size (or smaller) who had the cunning and grit to take the foes of his day. Interesting match-up.

Byrd on points, too modern and Johnson is an ATG when you take in too consideration how much they knew and had to work with in the early 1900s, so Johnson should be rated higher, but the techniques of an early 1900s boxer would not work against a 1990s boxer, but if Johnson was born when Byrd was, and trained with 1990s trainer he'd probably beat Byrd

If it's a 12 rounds, then Byrd could nick it. If we're talking Jack's time, then Johnson gets the win over the long stretch.

This would be an interesting fight. I could see Johnson becoming the aggressor and going for the knockout, but that said Byrd’s style can be a nightmare for anybody.
