Really wanted to see this happen.

Both at their HW best, who takes it?

Byrd got a TKO win over V. Klitschko after being clearly outboxed for most of the fight. V.K. quit due to an injured shoulder.

He was stopped in 5 by Ike Ibeabuchi. He was down twice and lost by decision to W. Klistchko. He was also stopped in 7 by W.K. in their rematch.

He won a decision over David Tua, a faded Holyfield, and Fres Oquendo. He drew with Andrew Golota, won a close decision vs. McCline, and won a decision over D. Williamson. He was WBO and IBF Champ.

Toney stopped an even more faded Holyfield in 9. He beat John Ruiz but then was stripped of the WBA HW title after testing + for a banned substance, the fight was changed to a NC. He decisioned Guinn, drew with Rahman, was robbed vs. Peter, lost the rematch to Peter by decision, won a close decision vs. Oquendo.

Byrd is taller with a longer reach. Byrd is quicker and a southpaw.

Both are very skilled and can take what the other has to offer. No way it ends early.

I'll take Byrd by close decision.

Vitali still getting way too much credit for his performance against Byrd. When he isn't battering from one corner of the ring to the other, he's clearly outboxing him.
