I don't think anybody would watch this utter stinkfest.

Hmmm, id give the edge to Young, although he was robbed alot, you could argue he performed much better at a higher level than Byrd did.

But that doesn't necessarily mean he'd win.

Its really anybody's fight. And I wouldn't be surprised to see them trade wins and losses in a multiple fight series.

An in-shape Young would probably win this yawn-fest. Hey, he gave Ali and Foreman thorough boxing lessons.

Young, of course. Jimmy was the better fighter...much better defensively, a better chin, better ring IQ,...need I say more? Wait, I will...put Byrd in the ring with '77 George Foreman...yeah, that same one...George takes Chris's head off in that 7th round, if not before,....Ibeabuchi style,....no, worse than Ike...Foreman hit harder. Byrd wouldn't have been as elusive vs Ali,...sure, he'd throw more than Jimmy did, but in doing so, he'd be committing himself to offensive work too much, and Ali, even that version of Ali, would have caught him with something,...and remember, you guys have decided that Ali WAS a puncher, so the Ron Lyle syndrome would have come into play against Byrd. Byrd vs Norton,...again, not as elusive as Jimmy, and Norton was very strong and awkward...too much so for Byrd....a more decisive points win for Ken.
Now, put Young in vs Ibeabuchi-wuchi,...Jimmy would have frustrated Ike all night long, with no lapses like Byrd suffered vs Ike. The only one suffering would have been the crazy man from Nigeria...after the decision would be announced, Ike would have to be sedated and put in a straight jacket.
Prime Jimmy would have outboxed both Klitschko brothers...but of course, would have gotten screwed again, remember, this is Jimmy Young we're talking about (hint, hint)...
So any questions? SHOULD there be any questions?

No, of course not,...remember, there would no doubt be three myopic, biased judges seated at ringside.

There is one,....it's stored right next to that reel of Greb and Walker's fight....along with the greatest fights of Maxie Rosenbloom.....right there...

    Prime Young was very good.

Byrd would have a speed advantage, but young was better at everything else. I think he would block most of Byrd's fast yet powerless flurries. He would slow Byrd down to the body and come on late to win a decision.

WTF! I just watched that fight, Young/OSSIEII No way Jimmy lost that fight. Ossie missed just about everything, and Young landed a lot. He flurried after every Occossio atept at landing something. Jimmy screwed by the judges yet again!

I'd give it to Young if he's at his best.
