He didn't choose more dangerous fighters and the fans were very unhappy. He lost a lot of fans over this.

Eh it's a close round but not a definitive one depending on what you value but relying on punch states to judge a round when everyone knows punch stats are bad is dumb

Either way glad I gave scoring a go. I think Chris Byrd is a underrated fighter it's very impressive he moved up from a natural middleweight to be very competitive at heavyweight giving away that much size.

Vitali engineered the second greatest comeback in heavyweight history and fought actual fan favorites like Corrie Sander, Lennox Lewis, Sam Peter and Vaughn Bean.

Byrd was the equivalent of Willie Meehan. No one needed to see more of that nonsense.

He came back because he briefly retired to avoid Hasim Raham.

On his comeback he avoided Jameel McCline.

    OK, you're trolling, cool.

People say Lennox ducked Vitali cause he retired. What about Vitali and Rahman? Klitschko even wanted his mandatory opponent changed not to fight Hasim.

Am I? Well, maybe the Vaughn Bean part. But not really.

Vitali destroyed his back and needed surgery if I recall, which caused him to retire. I actually checked out Rahman's camp for this fight. I don't think Vitali would have had much trouble.

He rescheduled the fight 2 times and then retired. First it was a knee, after that was a shoulder and after that it was back. Glass body indeed.

He was an aging, tall dude who had competed in combat sports since a child. This is hardly a rare case.

And I'm sure that the Hasim Rahman who couldn't even hang with John Ruiz scared him more than a practically undefeated bulldozer (at the time) in Sam Peter.
