How well do you think the slick southpaw Chris Byrd would do against the current top heavyweights, particularly the 3 mentioned? Could he have beaten one of them given his boxing skills and defense or would he have fallen short against all 3? He did beat Vitali Klitschko (injury or not he still won) and David Tua.

Too small. He might have made Joshua look bad, especially, but eventually he'd get stopped.

I'm not sure how you come to the conclusion that he would make Joshua look bad....When it's far easier to make Wilder look bad, as multiple opponents have done.

He's too small for all 3.

Joshua is the stiffest and most predictable of the three, and thus I think Byrd would make him miss a bit. But yes, I certainly agree he would be too small for all three and get knocked out by AJ and Wilder, at minimum. And of course there are fighters who would make Wilder look much worse than they would Joshua. Surely you watch enough boxing to know that styles make fights.

You are so invested in the Joshua/Wilder fan rivalry that you can't see straight.

He'd get destroyed in such one sided boring totally pathetic match ups.

Anyone think Byrd could last 12 with any shouldn't ever really be allowed to talk boxing.

The most competitive he could ever be is with Tyson Fury and he'd still be slapped into submission...

Joshua is more predictable than Wilder?

Wilder can only beat Fury/Joshua by KO......

    That's predictable.

I think you may be missing the point. Wilder vs Fury or Joshua is irrelevant to this conversation. (See my prior post about your being overly obsessed with that fan rivalry.)

Wilder is somewhat unorthodox, which is more problematic for Byrd because he had his success against stronger guys whom he could time. Of course, at a certain size and skill level, it didn't and wouldn't matter. Thus, he loses to all three.

No, nor should you have inferred that I was.

I think Wilder would have problems with Bryd because he had so much trouble landing on Ortiz early on even getting booed at certain points and Bryd was far better than Ortiz, size would only come into this because of Wilder`s reach as he was only 214lbs when he fought Ortiz.

AJ is a much better counter puncher than Wilder and Fury both of those guys throw wild punches leaving themselves wide open after punching, AJ`s balance is much better than the other two, I feel I fight with Bryd would have been like the Parker fight, where Joe just spoiled using his jab, Bryd didn`t counter enough to score more points than AJ.

His defense and hand speed look better than all three here and I`m an AJ fan, would have been good fights according to me.

Joshua = remake of the fight against Ibeabuchi
Wilder KO inside the first three rounds
against Fury the fight would look like the one against Vitali the abandonment less

Chris Byrd beats a prime Wilder and Joshua, but loses to a prime Fury by wide UD.
