Damn I just saw him against the Cuban Hernandez at the '92 Olympic games and Byrd somewhat reminded me of Roy Jones. Great reflexes, movement, footwork, tough, et cetera. Imo he could've been a major force at LM/MW/SMW, so why did he chose to establish himsef at HW? Anyone knows? This guy really has the heart of a lion fightng those huge guys unbelievable. He was also in NO way scared of the Cuban instead just provoked him.
 pff whahahaha:rofl yeah he grew up from 70 kg to 100 kg in 2 years:rofl MW/SMW was/is his natural weight ****o
He did it for the money and exposure. He had a solid beard at HW too. It would have been hard as hell for anyone to ko him at LHW down. He would have had some decent pop as well. May have been a hell of a match up vs RJJ
money mostly, but also he knew he would be quicker and slicker than most of the heavyweights. He wouldnt quicker than the 175lbers.
