    Wilder’s reign may have sucked but it’s still much better than Byrd’s who imo lost to Golota. Oquendo, an ancient Holyfield, and Williamson were hardly good wins.

    Yes Wilder fought some of the worst fighters to ever get title shots (Molina, Stiverne in the rematch, Washington), but he did beat Ortiz twice and technically defended against Fury. For me, there’s no comparison.

    Wilders is better than Bryds because he fought for the lineal title twice as WBC champion and one of those fights was a draw.

    I think Wilder has both the best and worst opponents of either reign. Something to be noted is that Bryd v Holyfield fighting for a HW title in 2002 carrys more credibility than having Wilder v Stiverne fight for one in 2015. But thats a different discussion.
