http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,12183_5617062,00.html Just had a quick look it looks a good fight on paper. I haven't seen any of Bayaar but the 1st round TKO over Reidar Walstad looks very good on paper. Especially as he was slightly lighter than him. I remember Walstad vs Dunne Walstad was a good fighter with a decent defence. Anyone seen Bayaar before? This is all i can find on Shinny [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oaNAyX3TZ2E[/ame]
In the chief support to the Jamie Moore-Ryan Rhodes showdown later this month in Bolton, Stoke battler Chris Edwards defends his British flyweight title against Oldhams (by way of Mongolia) Shinny Bayaar. Stumpy Edwards won the title earlier this year with a bustling retirement stoppage of Grimsbys Wayne Bloy and made one defence but looks up against it against the taller, talented Bayaar who gave then unbeaten Martin Power 10 hard rounds back in 2004 - just before Power picked up the British bantamweight title - and stopped ex-Canadian amateur star Andrew Singh Kooner in three stunning rounds in North London two years later, also at bantamweight. He holds a quicker stoppage of Norways Reidar Walstad, later to take Bernard Dunne the full 12 rounds at super-bantamweight. Bayaar is on a hot winning run but Who needs him?, as they say, and the upshot is the challengers decision to drop right down to flyweight, where he will undoubtedly be tight at the weight. This gives the brawling, aggressive, superfit Edwards his chance. He needs to set a hot pace and ensure he drags Bayaar the full 12 rounds. Anything below his best pace - or below his best, as when he dropped a surprise decision to Andy Bell last year, and Bayaar, who will enjoy support in the Lancashire arena and if he does the weight, dethrones Edwards.
