We all know Eubank became a different fighter after the Watson II and what happened to Watson. He became a different fighter and held back. My question is would the pre Watson Eubank have beat Steve Collins?

Yeah, I reckon so, that Eubank was a low-stanced, pouncing beast who led with leaping rights or power shots and would throw himself into dazzling combinations! Collins was always a bit of a flailing octopus with no power or precision, walking into shots, etc. So yeah.

Yeah he would. He was a better fighter than Collins without a doubt, it seems obvious to me.
It gets said a lot on this subject but it's true - Collins was fortunate he fought Eubank and Benn when he did.

Collins mental strength and toughness were his best assets, all his other attributes were ok but nout special, he weren't particularly good at anything. I never rated him that highly as world champ. But i was pleased he made some coin at the end of a hard career.
