"Boxing is a Mugs Game"- said World Champion Boxer Chris Eubank.

"99.99% of boxers - get used and abused and disfigured" - Eubank said.

Do you agree / disagree with him ? :think

NO. 9999 boxers out of 10,000 don't get abused and disfigured.

Anyone that agrees with this should be lined up and forced to take a left hook from Big George bare fisted.

The last thing we need is fans of the sport echoing these sentiments.

Hate to state the obvious be were only talking pro boxing right?
(some people thinkg the judging in Amatuer boxing is disgraceful and damages the sport)

Well I wouldn't agree with the statistics. However, I'd like to learn more about trust funds/educational facilities etc funded more from the big ppv events so that those less well off in the game have a better chance of a quality of life.

I really like what Barry McGuigan is going at the moment where Universities have full time amateurs training on campus so they can do both. Great idea. If they are earning enough from the boxing they have something to fall back on. And on the other hand if they make all the money in the world they are well prepared and educated enough not to let it get to their head etc.

gotta get his name in the news somehow nowadays.

im sure if eubank got his **** together he would have a lot to offer as a coach of some kind.

still, shouldnt be talking like that and biting the hand that has fed him so well.....

    shamefull.

It's only a mug's game if you allow yourself to be used as one.

Eubank says things for affect. He loves boxing because he wouldn't of went through what he went through not to. He likes to portray himself in a certain light and does come out with bollocks like this. If he didn't love boxing he'd not be around at shows and following his son's career and guiding him aswell as taking time to speak to Buncey on his show. The enthusiasm the man has for the sport is clear to see.

It's true. Unless you are with a huge promoter you have little to no chance of getting a fair crack of the whip. It's the way it is.

    Its agree.

Its a brutal sport that in the long term can and does **** you of your mental capacity, except for the very top the financial reward is very low too.
