Eubank speaks and possibly quite telling that he describes is as ‘once in a lifetime’. Well it took nearly 3 years but we finally got the job done. Big shout out to everyone that supported the fight on Saturday & made it the once in a lifetime event that it was… without the fans none of this is possible, thank you.
There is no reason to believe Hearn about the rematch. He claimed that Joshua had a rematch clause for Dubois when he clearly had no such thing. He isn’t the man in charge any more and is just trying to control the narrative. Hope Eubank either retires or goes for glory with a shot at Canelo. He’d lose but it’d be an absolute spectacle at Wembley or Spurs.
Jonathan Banks saying he was trying to tell Eubank mid-fight not to stand and trade which was pretty much my thoughts. When he was using his jab he was in total control but when he got into a brawl (probably due to emotion) he was letting Benn in.
Turki stated there's a rematch clause and wants it for September. Hope Eubank retires, he is on the slide and I dont think a change in weight will suddenly rejuvenate him.
Hope Eubank gets the Canelo fight at 168, makes a fortune then rides off into sunset to spend time with his brothers son and rebuild his relationship with his dad properly.
The specifics are important here. I read his words not as a rematch clause (something that is binding and can be invoked by the loser) but an *option* that can take place if both parties agree: A bit different imho. Agree with you that it’s in Eubank’s interests not to take it.
Fantastic news that Eubank is now out of hospital and all well. The fight was entertaining, but despite that I hope that their is no rematch, I really don't want to see Eubank risking his health with another ridiculous weight cut. He cemented his family names legacy with that win, and for many, as importantly he has made a one man stand for clean fighters - fighting against so many wrongs. He may not have been a world level operator, but he will always be known as a true people's champion for that alone. Also, if there was a belt for mind games he would be the lb for lb champion by a country mile. Single handedly took Benn, his team & promotional team to school mentally in the build up - a mind game masterclass, all whilst remaining calm & composed throughout.bravo. Hero
Yeh that's how I interpreted it based on what was being said. I guess we will find out in the next couple of weeks when the dust settles after this event. For me I hope its Canelo or retirement next. He probably has less than a 10% chance against Canelo, but at least he would be at a decent weight and the chance to watch Canelo live in UK would be a brilliant event
Yep I think there's a rematch option for the both of them. However if Benn wants the rematch and Chris doesn't want it, I wonder if he'll try to negotiate the terms Found it interesting that Eddie has already come out and say he doesn't want the rematch. A bit of negotiation already?
Anyone else notice how certain drug advocating forum members have all of a sudden gone very quiet?......I wonder why
