Talent does always equate to eventual achievement. That much is clear from decades of sport. Saunders is a real talent, but Eubank is just breathtakingly talented. I'd love to see him do well as I appreciate his talent and I just think he's incredibly likeable. He oozes charisma. I'd love to see him in with Golovkin as I think he would really batter him and get his hands on a real title. The IBO belt means nothing.
People need to lay off the Eubank kid, if his dad was a nobody he’d be hailed as a great Briton, as it is he’s judged by the standards of his world champion dad. Unfair expectations to put on the shoulders of the youngster. Give him time to blossom, he has his whole career ahead of him and has already achieved so much at his age. Give the guy a break, the best is yet to come. also the Golovkin fight would be a passing of the torch, young CHRIS just coming into his prime, GGG well past prime. Brutal relentless destruction by the young lion.
This forum really is wild sometimes. I’m all for rooting for the home town talent, but you’re holding your breath for something that isn’t coming. Bookmark this thread - within the next 18 months Eubank will be exposed again and have another ‘special talent’ loss on his resume when he steps up again. Sorry, he is nothing more than a talented prospect that never fulfilled his potential.
It's not a case of rooting for "home town talent". I'm not a nationalist or a patriot (far from it), and even if I was, I'd hardly feel any sort of kinship for a bloke from the south of England. My opinion is simply that Eubank is an outrageous talent and that he is incredibly likeable. That's all. It seems as though people really get offended by that, for whatever reason. Any time that somebody remotely deviates from the forum's status quo, they're shot down.
Yeah I see a Golovkin fight going only one way, there's no way that GGG will be able to hang with the power, accuracy and relentless aggressive style that Jnr has, he will swarm him and take what's his, then call out Charlo if Charlo is man enough. One thing is for sure, Jnr only looks for the biggest challenge, all part of being the warrior that he is.
Jnr is just better in every dept.sublime foot movement and coordination coupled with laser guided accuracy is just too much for the overmatched GGG."I've built him to well"
He's very elusive, he has unique methods for not getting hit, he thinks outside the box, I don't think that pen trick had ever been done before.
The marriage between his style and personality is a remarkable one. Speed, power, skill, intelligence and then there's the ridiculous charisma, humour, charm, eloquence, voice and physical appearance. He's got it all in my books. What do you reckon?
Hardly! I was skeptical about whether he was messing about or not from the start. Hard to tell as some people do genuinely seem to rate Eubank highly for some strange reason.
