Question for those who've followed Jr.'s career for a long time: was he ever hurt by a body shot? From whom? Did he recover quickly?

Cant remember seeing him hurt to the body. That said his only 2 live opponents have been the feather-fisted, non-body-punching Billy Joe and the very limited, and fairly light-punching Chudinov.

Mind you Jr does appear very well-conditioned - major 6-pack abs, wash-board waistline, a real body-beautiful physique etc etc so there is no particular reason to think he would be vulnerable to the body.

Obviously a two-fisted body-attack features majorly in Spikes approach to fights......hmmm.....

A sculpted physique doesn't preclude you from being vulnerable down there... in fact it can be a hindrance.

Look at Chauncey Welliver, he can soak up body shots like nobody's business and he's maybe the fluffiest heavyweight fringe "contender" there's ever been.

I was actually going to type this exact point but I got lazy!

Anyway - genuinely, I have no reason to doubt Juniors abdominal fortitude.

He really does seem to have some substance to him and is certainly more than just a pretty boy or a rich-kid wannabe. He is a seriously fit, disciplined young man. If he does lose to Spike, it wont be because he wasn't fit enough. :thumbsup

Looking forward to this one, and hoping Spike can pull it off.

How is Sullivan's chin anyway? And is his defense as porous as Eubanks?

    Chin's great, defense is worse.

I want Spike to win but think CEJ will take it. Maybe a late stoppage. Hope I'm wrong though; i usually am

Eubank is a great fighter. It's too bad he won't get any credit for this win as Sullivan will be considered a BJS leftover by then. Chris can be competitive with anyone at 160 except GGG.
